Creating the Glocal Loop

Bellum Entertainment

The Overview

  • Client: Bellum Entertainment

The Challenge

Bellum Entertainment is a reality and factual entertainment production company based in Burbank and holding the rights to a significant library of content that has aired on cable and broadcast television. StoryTech has been engaged to support an innovative syndication model by building and executing a full multiplatform digital strategy that will serve as a framework foundation for all Bellum shows. This 360 approach is first being applied on two syndicated strip shows launching September, 2014- “Fix It & Finish It” and “Flip My Food.”

The Strategy

Redefine the category and audience experience for these two celebrity driven shows. The strategy includes data driven development based on existing community behaviors, community building and engagement via a combination of integrated social platform strategies, media channel planning and buying, and integration of brands within programming and digital interactive content. The content strategy informs the production process to efficiently create and distribute assets. Finally, a cross-channel “content as marketing strategy” will reach out and into existing category communities, influencers and fans of the hosts to drive the audience to the show platforms.

The Results

A “glocal loop” has been established that will drive viewers in individual markets to the national web/mobile/tablet destinations which will in turn drive viewers to the shows across multiple platforms all while building and engaged community. Local stations will be provided with a “digikit”  to support and facilitate success on a local level. The business model provides for multiple revenue opportunities from sponsorship and advertising to e-commerce born of an L&M program. Best in class vendors managed by StoryTech are at work across multiple initiatives.
